Visual merchandising in a small shop: how to guide the customer's eye
In a small shop, every metre has to sell. Visual merchandising is a way to let customers find the products you want to show them on their own — without being pushy and without a refit.

Entrance area
The first few steps into a shop are when customers look around. Don't block the entrance — show one strong focal point, such as a backlit poster featuring something new.
Focal points
- The wall facing the entrance — the best place for your main message.
- Shelf ends — seasonal products and promotions.
- Till — small items and information about the loyalty scheme.
- Fitting room or testing area — photos of products in use.
Light guides the customer
The eye follows bright spots. Backlit posters in several places around the shop create a path the customer naturally follows. A frame with a power bank lets you put light where there is no socket.
Changes every season
Rearrange your displays and change the posters at least once a season. Regular customers will notice straight away that something is happening in the shop.
YOUR VENUE. YOUR DESIGN.
Show us your location.
An interior photograph and brief offer description are enough to start. We will help choose the model, format and print for what the customer should see.
