Sign box or LED light box? A comparison for business owners
Both light up and grab attention, but they work best in different places. We compared them on the points that matter to a business owner.

Classic illuminated sign box
A sign box is a box with lighting inside and the artwork on the front. It is usually anywhere from a few to over ten centimetres deep and works well as a fascia sign on the building. The artwork is often permanent, and making one requires a design and installation.
Ultra-slim LED frame
The LEDMESEE frame is 12 mm thick (single-sided model) and designed for indoor use. It lights evenly across the whole surface, and you can change the poster yourself in seconds. It comes in standard sizes from A5 to 1200 × 2400 mm.
Comparison at a glance
- Location: sign box — building fascia and shop sign; LED frame — indoors and inside the shop window.
- Thickness: sign box — several centimetres or more; LED frame — 12 mm.
- Changing the artwork: sign box — usually by a contractor; LED frame — by yourself in seconds.
- Sizes: sign box — made to measure; LED frame — standard sizes, custom sizes for larger orders.
When to choose which
For the sign above the entrance, choose an outdoor sign box. For the interior, the shop window and anywhere the offer changes often, a slim LED frame works better. Many venues combine both.
